The shower pressure was barely a trickle it tested my patience. The antique furniture in my room might have been charming had the bed not seemed like sleeping on a trampoline. Some so-called art gallery in the basement also seemed like a half-hearted attempt to justify the price.

A sanctuary of charm and kindness

The hotel is just beautiful with gardens so green and nice. Rooms 17 to 20 face the pool and grounds, so close to where you eat. The air conditioning worked great, i needed it at that time. Staff are very kind, they arranged pancakes, a breakfast treat, for the kids.
I felt the dinner buffet could use small improvements. I think the food needs to get better so every guest feels satisfied. I hope this will improve soon.

The swimming pool looked pristine and perfect, a great place to relax during the day. I noted there is also a wartime bunker, now changed into an art gallery, so cool. Each block is in honor of a Sri Lanka artist.

artwork was wonderful. it was from the 43 group and a great surprise. the staff were really good, always ready to help. grounds were beautiful, a welcome respite after travelling.
i stayed in one heritage room, but it got very noisy. wedding photos happened outside from early morning till 8am and it rained. this was very unsatisfactory.

rooms were clean, modern, and fresh with a balcony. four rooms were in the original house. each block was named in honour of sri lanka's artists, a nice touch.

clear watercomfortable loungersamazing session
the pool was fine. it had crystal clear water and comfortable loungers where i spent hours reading. the crab cookery session with chef anupa was amazing!!! i will cherish that memory always. the staff shone, anticipating needs before i even voiced them.
the selection of international dishes felt somewhat limited .
